A small ! now appears next to games in the Playground chooser when new features have been added.
A new final floor has been added: bright glossy tile, raised walkways, near-black water, glowing dome lights, and a colossal half-submerged marble statue head watching from the deepest pool.
You can now step off walkways into the pools. Movement slows, the camera lowers, footsteps become splashy, and climbing in or out triggers heavy water sounds.
Entering water now muffles the entire sound mix through a lowpass effect — footsteps, static, entity drones, and ambient hum all sink into a drowned, underwater tone.
A new Poolrooms entity: slow on walkways, terrifyingly fast in water. It swims with only its head and shoulders above the surface, then rises out when lunging.
Tapes are no longer collected automatically. Look at one and press E to take it, with a small camera dip as you crouch. Mobile now gets a contextual USE button.
Every level now has a physical exit door from the start. Press E to open it on a hinge, hear it creak, and step through to descend.
Exit doors can be found without collecting tapes. Once you get close, the beacon and distance HUD activate. Collecting both tapes forces the door to tear through a nearby wall as a shortcut reward.
Entities now hunt without needing tapes. Hunts start earlier, re-arm faster, last longer, and repath more aggressively.
Entities now creep closer during sightings: Smiler moves when unseen, Hound stalks until spotted, and Crawler advances even while watched before vanishing at close range.
A new easier start option: fewer entities, slower enemies, shorter hunts, slower battery drain, and exit guidance active from the beginning.
Movement now has weight: figure-8 sway, footstep dips, strafe leaning, turn inertia, idle breathing, and a separate slower gait while wading.
New HDR bloom makes lights, EXIT signs, and Smiler grins glow properly. Added dust motes, layered fog, sharper flashlight shadows, anisotropic filtering, valve wheels, VHS exposure flicker, and sprint FOV kick.
